Snappi - Diaper Fastener 0-18 Months
Do you use a Snappi to fasten your nappies? Or do you still use safety pins? When it comes to reusable nappies, there are many different accessories available on the market. Many of them are far from essential, but when you're considering buying nappies or prefolds, you can't go wrong with this very practical little piece of rubber.
A Snappi fastener, but what is it?
A Snappi is a "T"-shaped piece of rubber, with plastic teeth at each end. The teeth grip the fabric and hold it in place around your baby. Simple to use, it is less likely to accidentally injure your baby or yourself, as would be the case with a safety pin.
It is used on flats, flat nappies, or pre-folded nappies.
You won't need a Snappi for all-in-one nappies (AIO, AI2, or AI3) or even classic nappies, as all these nappies come with snaps or Velcro to fasten them on the baby.
How do you use a Snappi fastener?
Snappis are very easy to use:
- Fold your nappy if necessary and place it on the baby.
- Then take your Snappi and hook the "teeth" on the left and right. Then pull the bottom of the Snappi and hook it to the bottom of the nappy.
- Before each use, you should stretch the Snappi and check that it is not torn or damaged.
- Wash them regularly with soapy water to keep them clean.
Snappi: what types of fabrics do they work on?
Snappis can be used on most fabrics: cotton, bamboo, microfibre, hemp. They work very well on terrycloth fabrics, but also on flannel nappies.
Length: approximately 13cm
