The hot water bottle cover is made from a fabric composed mainly of virgin wool. The wool forms the soft and slightly fluffy surface of the fabric, while a cotton textile backing holds the fibers to ensure the strength and durability of the whole. This backing remains discreet and imperceptible to the touch: only the natural softness of the wool is felt.

The cover is decorated with a sheep embroidery and opens at the back with an overlapping closure with a small hook-and-loop system, making it easy to insert or remove the hot water bottle.

Composition and origin of materials

The cover is made from virgin wool, obtained from shearing live sheep. The wool comes from European farms, often German, with short transport routes when possible.

Before textile processing, the wool is cleaned using a conventional textile process involving soap, soda, and surfactants to eliminate natural impurities present in the fiber. It is then washed, carded, and processed in Europe.

The wool used is neither bleached nor dyed and thus retains its natural properties and original color.

Usage tips
